legacy

leg·a·cy | \ ˈle-gə-sē \

By definition, a company’s legacy is the monetary mark that is left on the world. In the world of cannabis, a legacy brand is a company that has been operating under Prop 215. They have fulfilled their licensing requirements, and evolved into the legal space. This is no easy feat by any means.

At The Hosted Co, legacy holds a deeper meaning. It can’t be measured by dollars and cents. Legacy is the impact of your brand on our planet and on people’s lives - something that has almost been lost to Prop 64. While we appreciate the doors that legalization opened, we also never want to lose sight of the compassion, resilience, and courage that we used to the pave the road to legalization.

We are the roots of this community, and we can grow together.

Why did we start THCo.?

Our mission is to empower today’s cannabis brands to lay down a sustainable foundation for the next generation of our legacy to cultivate and nurture.

Our Goals:

  • Replenish and repair our planet (reparations for nature)

  • Advocate for, and empower marginalized voices (reparations for others)

  • Craft compelling and consistent design

  • Create reciprocity (a design that creates and nurtures an ongoing relationship)

  • Create with, rather than for, inclusivity

  • Let your purpose drive your profit rather than your profits driving your purpose

What services do we offer?

Our passion is bringing life into brands or concepts that share our same values. We have built a trusted team that is here for you every step of the way.

At THCo, we offer web design, marketing, brand development, and content creation.

In addition, we have an extensive network of trusted partners that we utilize for any collaborations with needs outside of our own offerings.

Who we love to work with…

Our goal has been to align with companies that share our same core value of sustainability. The question remains, what does it mean to be sustainable? In a world full of “green washing” it is almost impossible to sort through convoluted “feel good” mission statements that hold little merit. At THCo, sustainability isn’t just one of our pillars, but rather, it is our foundation from which we were built. When we look to potential collaborations, we ask ourselves some questions.

Do we (the community) need this new project?

  • All collaborations should address a better way to meet needs than the current options available.

  • All collaborations should have no direct negative side effects on the community.

What are we trying to solve?

  • All collaborations should make the community a better place.

  • All collaborations should have a mission beyond monetary profits, and they should restore and replenish the environment and members of the community.

  • All collaborations should be ethical, fair, and safe.

  • All collaborations should aim beyond carbon neutrality.

  • All collaborations should focus on a tightly knit community.

How can we highlight sustainability and be transformative throughout the collaboration?

  • All collaborations should highlight inclusive messaging through thoughtful copy and intentional partnerships.

  • All collaborations should highlight the problem at hand and include appropriate community leaders and voices. Community inclusion results in empowerment, which creates a sustainable future.

  • All collaborations should highlight the bond between human and nature.

  • All collaborations should highlight and increase advocacy for our community and the planet.

  • All collaborations should highlight and promote generosity and reciprocity.

  • All collaborations should highlight and increase participation in the local community economy. If one of us is flourishing, then we all flourish.
